Food Safety and Traceability Funding (Province of British Columbia)

The Post-Farm Food Safety (PFFS) Program is a cost sharing program that grants up to $20,000 in funding to BC food and beverage manufacturing facilities towards the implementation of food safety activities.
BC businesses interested in implementing traceability programs may also apply for funding through PFFS. Eligible companies can receive up to $35,000 in funding to help attain food safety certification.
The program will be offered until 2023. Funding categories can be found here.

June 17, 2014Traceability Adoption Program: Funding is currently available through the B.C. Agriculture Research & Development Corporation (ARDcorp). “Traceability Adoption Program offers cost-shared funding up to 75% to a maximum of $15 000 to eligible businesses/operations within B.C.’s agriculture and seafood sectors to help cover specific costs relating to the purchase and installation of traceability infrastructure and staff training to implement traceability systems for plant, animal, seafood and agri-food products.” Refer to our blog for information regarding implementing a traceability program. October 17, 2014 –  Post Farm Food Safety Program: Growing Forward 2 funding is now available. Eligible food and wine manufacturers may access up to $20,000 in grants to develop food safety programs such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)-based programs.
